In-Home Consultation

At Prime Energy Solutions, we pride ourselves in our consultative approach to renewable energy quotes. We don’t just tell you how many solar panels you can fit on your roof – we use modelling software that calculates the most appropriate system size for your lifestyle and household, starting with your current energy usage. Thinking of adding an EV Charger or heat pump? Our system builds in allowances to future-proof your investment without having to replace expensive components later.

All-Year-Round Performance

Our modelling software not only matches the optimum sized inverter with the total output (kWp) of the proposed panels, it also models battery performance to ensure the best year-round performance. For most applications, your panels will provide considerably more energy than you need in the summer months, with the majority being fed back to the grid (which you will be compensated for), but what about in the winter? A correctly sized battery captures excess energy during daylight and stores it for later use, considerably reducing or eliminating your bills even in the winter months.

Our fully itemised quote takes everything into consideration including seasonally adjusted performance, your current tariff vs your preferential solar tariff, lifetime bill savings and projected break-even date. Once your bill savings equal your upfront investment, you have broken-even and you can enjoy minimal or zero energy costs from that point onwards!

Can your modeling software factor in future plans like buying an EV or fitting a heat pump?

Yes. Replacing inverters or upgrading system capacity later can be costly. During our consultation, we build future energy demands directly into your initial design model.

If you plan to add an Electric Vehicle charger, air-source heat pump, or home extension over the next few years, we select hybrid inverters, cable routes, and battery expansion bays that can seamlessly scale with your home. This future-proofs your property without requiring expensive component replacements down the line.

How do solar panels and battery storage perform during winter in the UK?

While daylight hours and solar output drop during winter, a correctly sized battery ensures your system works hard for you 365 days a year.

Our software models seasonally adjusted generation to optimize winter performance. By pairing your battery with cheap off-peak grid tariffs (like 7p/kWh overnight rates), your system automatically charges itself during the night in winter. You can then power your home throughout the day on low-cost stored energy, protecting you from high daytime grid prices even when sunlight is minimal.

What information is included in your detailed financial quote and payback calculation?

We provide a transparent, fully itemized quote with zero hidden costs. Your custom report includes:

  • Seasonally Adjusted Yield: Month-by-month estimates of solar generation vs. household consumption.
  • Tariff Comparison: A direct financial model comparing your current utility rates against preferential solar export and off-peak tariffs (e.g., Smart Export Guarantee).
  • Projected Break-Even Date: Exact lifetime electricity bill savings showing the year your system pays for itself, after which your energy is virtually free.
What energy data or utility bills should I provide for the consultation?

To ensure our modeling software generates the most accurate proposal possible, it helps to have:

  1. 12 Months of Energy Data (or recent utility bills): Showing your annual kWh consumption figures and current unit rates (p/kWh).
  2. Smart Meter Access: If you have a smart meter, downloading your daily or half-hourly export/import data gives us granular insight into your peak usage times.
  3. Future Energy Goals: A list of upcoming home projects (e.g., hot tub, EV, home office, air conditioning, or heat pump) so we can scale your system accordingly.
